Marine Heat Exchangers
Bossmanfilter design and manufacture all types of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers either according to classification as per TEMA standards or by customer’ specifications.
Marine Heat Exchangers, There are three methods employed for water-cooled Barine petrol and diesel engines: direct, heat exchanger and keel cooling. Heat exchanger cooling is the most common method, the sea water being isolated in components that can be designed to withstand its corrosive effect. Bossmanfilter Barine Heat Exchangers are fabricated with the distinctive spiral corrugated tube design. Its compact structure for effective use with high fluid velocities and low-pressure drops. The tube stack is fully floating, thus minimizing thermal stresses, and it can easily be removed should cleaning be necessary. Most Barine heat exchangers are made of cupronickel, stainless steel 316L or titanium which are highly corrosion resistant and therefore suitable for use with seawater.
Marine Heat Exchangers
- Duty range - 3kW to 1400kW (subject to flow rate and temperatures)
- Sea Water Flow - 20 L/min to 800 L/min (Subject to number of tube-side passes)
- High pressure designs available upon request
- They can be designed and manufactured to operate at very high pressures.
- Highly flexible and robust design.
- They can be designed and manufactured to operate at very high and very low temperatures.
- They are resistant to thermal shocks.
- There is no size limitation.
- Pressure losses are minimal and can be kept to a minimum in accordance with the process purpose.
- They can be easily dismantled and reassembled for maintenance, repair and cleaning.
- Maintenance and repairs are easy.
