Water to Oil Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers for Marine and Corrosive Environments

Marine Machinery and Equipment operate in a very demanding and particularly corrosive environments. This is why (alongside with standard Copper Coolers and Copper Heat Exchangers) Bossmanfilter Heat Exchanger Division has developed a series of Copper Nickel Cupronickel Water to Oil Shell and Tube Coolers specially designed for the Marine Industry, seawater and corrosive environments.The Oil Coolers feature cutting-edge technology solutions to make them reliable in harsh working conditions.

Bossmanfilter Water to Oil Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers for the Marine Industry feature tubes made of Copper Nickel Cupronickel 90/10 to withstand the higly corrosive marine environment.


Applications

  • Cooling lube oil in main propulsion diesels, steam and gas turbines,
  • Cooling water for diesel jackets,compressors, electronics.
  • Heating water,fuel oil and lube oil in shipboard uses


Standard Process Design Conditions

  • Oil Flow: from 20 lt/min to 500 lt/min.
  • Heat Dissipation: up to 75kW.
  • Maximum Working Pressure: 12 bar for both oil and water.
  • Tube Material: Cupronickel 90/10 to withstand highly corrosive environments.

Material of Constructions

  • Shell - Cast Iron/ Brass
  • Bonnets - Cast Iron/ Brass
  • Tubes - 90/10CuNi, 70/30CuNi, Copper.
  • O - Ring - Nitrile ( Std)
  • O - Ring - Ethylene Propylene, Viton (Optional)
  • Bolting - Carbon steel.
