After compression it is
necessary to remove heat created. Since the ability of air to retain water
approximately doubles with every rise in temperature of 11°C, on cooling,
moisture would collect in the air network and associated tools, washing away
lubricant and creating possible freezing problems.
To prevent this, the
installation of a Bossman aftercooler complete with moisture separator would
remove moisture and oil droplets before draining away.
Absence of aftercooling causes line expansion, due to excessive heat, and
contraction on compressor shut down, resulting in leaking joints and air losses.
Additionally, untreated compressed air often results
in spoiled or reduced quality
of end products in such operations as Spray
Painting,Powder Coating, Grit Blasting etc.
The Bossmanfilter BAC-Series designed will
reduce moisture carry over into compressed air systems
by as much as 70% resulting in improved manufacturing
efficiency and product finish. |
